CLEAT FIT GUIDE
Youth baseball cleats for wide feet: fit before brand
A familiar logo does not guarantee a comfortable width. Measure both feet, check the league’s footwear rules, and compare the exact model on the surface your player uses.

01 / BEFORE YOU BUY
Check the field and league rules
Confirm whether molded, turf, or metal footwear is allowed for the player’s age and fields. A comfortable cleat that violates local rules is not useful.
02 / BEFORE YOU BUY
Measure both feet in playing socks
Measure late in the day with the socks the player wears for baseball. Use the larger foot when comparing the manufacturer’s current size chart. Width labels vary by brand and model.
03 / BEFORE YOU BUY
Check three fit points
Look for comfortable toe room, secure heel hold, and no painful pressure across the widest part of the forefoot. The player should jog, stop, and change direction without sliding inside the shoe.
04 / BEFORE YOU BUY
Do not count on painful break-in
Materials may soften, but a shoe that pinches or numbs the foot is not a safe bet. Compare a wide option or a different model while the shoe is still returnable.
05 / BEFORE YOU BUY
Read the return policy before practice
Some retailers limit returns after outdoor wear. Try cleats indoors on a clean surface first, confirm the exact pair and size, and keep the box until fit is settled.

RAWLINGS
Mark of a Pro Light
11-inch • youth fit
A youth infield model with a leather shell and Pro H web. A starting point for a fit check, rather than a size prescription.
Check throwing hand and whether your player can comfortably close it.

RAWLINGS
Mark of a Pro Light 11.5
11.5-inch • basket web
The larger option in this pair uses a basket web and Youth Pro Taper fit. Compare it on your player’s hand before choosing.
This linked variant is for a right-handed thrower. Verify size and stock.

RAWLINGS
NXT Pink / Columbia Blue
11.5-inch • youth ContoUR fit
A pink-and-blue infield pattern with a narrower youth hand opening. The color stands out, but wrist security, closure, position, and break-in should still decide the fit.
The linked variant is for a right-handed thrower. Verify throwing hand, current stock, and that the player can close it comfortably.
